How to Fix WordPress Visual Editor Not Working

visual editor not working in wordpress

WordPress has changed its editor to Gutenberg, so this post is no longer applicable to modern WP installs. If you are looking to get the classic Visual Editor back, you’ll need a Super Admin to install and activate this Classic Editor plugin.

WordPress Visual Editor is a feature that lets you edit WordPress pages and posts like a word processor, so you can avoid the hassle of HTML

Recently I was in a client site where the Visual Editor was not working. Where it should have been, nothing appeared.

Follow these step

  1. Go to Cpanel and open File Manager
  2. And Find out wp-config.php
  3. Past these codes in the wp-config.php ( Below the box )
  4. Note Adding Two plugin in our site
    1. Classic Editor
    2. Really Simple SSL
//Begin Really Simple SSL Load balancing fix
$server_opts = array("HTTP_CLOUDFRONT_FORWARDED_PROTO" => "https", "HTTP_CF_VISITOR"=>"https", "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO"=>"https", "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SSL"=>"on", "HTTP_X_PROTO"=>"SSL", "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_SSL"=>"1");
foreach( $server_opts as $option => $value ) {
if ((isset($_ENV["HTTPS"]) && ( "on" == $_ENV["HTTPS"] )) || (isset( $_SERVER[ $option ] ) && ( strpos( $_SERVER[ $option ], $value ) !== false )) ) {
$_SERVER[ "HTTPS" ] = "on";
break;
}
}
//END Really Simple SSL
